Todd, I was wondering what back up weapon I should get because you said I couldn't shoot anyone within a 100 ft. with the G&G GR-25 sniper rifle and was wondering if i should get a pistol or a shotgun? Might I add that I'll be playing in heavy brush.

so a mp5k would be an effective back up weapon say if a got flanked by a person and we were fighting in heavy brush?

so a mp5k would be an effective back up weapon say if a got flanked by a person and we were fighting in heavy brush? As a sniper for close to 6 years, I only carry a backup (We Capa) because I /have/ to. If you get flanked, its /NEVER/ by one guy, and I cant recall one time when having a "better" backup would have saved me, There have been times when I have used it when I could have just let the guy walk past me, but I cant remember any time when its saved my rear. That being said, if you are playing as a DMR-style rifleman with longer range, then yeah, a Mp5k would probably be a perfect choice, sometimes you'll have to help clear a building, or push hard and you don't have any standard riflemen to do the job because they are all shot. For that purpose, a Mp5k is probably as good as you are going to get, mostly because the magazines for it are TINY, a VN beltpouch can hold a literal brick of 9 mags and takes up very little space on your loadout. The downside is they are a pain in the butt to carry around, there are HUGE leg holsters for mp5's, some weird "crossdraw" style rigs ive never physically seen, and normal sling solutions, but if you do alot of running, they flop around and get in the way.

well first off i only play 2 vs 2 people so ya i would get flanked by one preson. secondly i dont mind having the leg holsters on. in fact i woundnt mind just haveing any backup weapon and just have a sling for it. the reason i need a back up weapon is because i only stay in one place and if flanked i can just pull it out and shoot.i just want a good back up weapon that does the job of taking out the opposition.

I use a pistol most of the time and a TM shotgun with a back scabbard for the colder games.
I have a mpk5 drop leg and its nice, but a little clumky too. Could be cause I am a small asian dude as well and a mp5k hangning on my leg is pretty big.
