can you tell me the specs on the Echo 1 M14 RIS EBR and if the fps is 350 like I read what can i add to make it 450 fps? we've chrono'd them at about 340 FPS. M14's are very difficult and very expensive to upgrade. if you want 450 FPS, plan on spending $200-$300.

what I mean is would the gun be an effective marksmen rifle if I added a scope and bipod and what is the fps? all M14's make very good DMR guns. 340 FPS.

he means would the echo1 614 be an effective marksmen rifle the 614 is an M4 variant, and thus has a mid-length barrel. the best DMR guns are going to be those with full length barrels. i.e. G3's, M16's, AUG's, M14's, etc.

or a JG M16A4 DMR, and how can I upgrade that to 425-450 fps and more can I put a tightbore barrel on this?

ok then what about the UTG type 96 sniper rifle spring sniper rifles are pretty sucky. nearly any AEG can outshoot a spring sniper.

how much would all that cost me
|
|
|
Post by WarChild on Mar 1, 2008 23:48:53 GMT -5
spring $16, tightbore $50, 1-2 hours labor at $20/hr.
depending on the quality of the stock components, other parts may need to be replaced as well. you will also need a strong battery to turn over a gearbox with a stiff spring.

and I know that they already have tightbore barrels installed so would a stiffer spring make it 425-450fps making an effective marksmen rifle

and I know that they already have tightbore barrels installed so would a stiffer spring make it 425-450fps making an effective marksmen rifle the lower-cost nylon-fiber bodied guns do not come with tightbores. all the metal-bodied guns do.

they are very durable. its not a cheap plastic, its nice and thick. i say just get a rifle like my dad has; its powerful, high mobility, and easily upgradeable. plus tons of external features too.
