um, not to sound like a wet blanket, but have you ever picked up a SAW?
I've been round the block a couple of times, and it's probably just as lite as one of the original Kart EBR's, which was a boat anchor... Being 16, I would have to say your not going to enjoy it much....but hey, it's your deal, you do you.....
I personally would go with a medium assault weapon, such as a M-4, I'm hot on Taiwan Manu's right now....including ICS, G+G, and KWA....but I wouldn't say that getting a SAW as your first one is such a good Idea. Have you played out before, as in real events, or have you just been playing with your friends....
Sorry, I'm not trying to talk you out of something, but you should look at weight as a major thing.

listen i understand were ur coming from. to start this wouldnt b my first gun more like my ninth second i already have 4 m4's and i just wanted something unique you know. dnt get me wrong im not upset or anythn i really listen to you guys on here. plus i think i read that the echo 1 SAW was only 12 pounds. no ive never played out in events just backyard airsoft and if i ever do play in events the SAW would not be first on the list for which gun to bring. so that's my viewpoint on it.

I personally own an A&K Para SAW, and besides a rather wide spread, it sure does get the job done if you can get a rate of fire near 18-20 rps. If you're thinking about getting any SAW, an upgraded 6.03 or 6.04 400mm barrel is probably a good idea to up the fps and improve the normally wide spread.
