I called about ordering an echo 1 and I heard that it was very hard to get echo 1's at the moment. Why is this? If I were to order one in the next couple weeks or a month or something would there be any chance of me getting one? (specifically the echo 1 m16a4 stag arms ver 3) please reply

most Echo 1's, JG's, A&K's, etc. have been in short supply all year. anything produced in China for the most part.
Airsoft is completely, totally, 100% illegal in China...to own, to use, to import, export or manufacture. the only way airsoft guns actually get made is in underground factories, and then bribery, graft and corruption gets it from the factory to the sea port to ship out of the country.
with the Olympics this year being held in China, there was a massive crackdown on illegal activities, as China did not want to face the embarrassment of failing to enforce its own laws. thus, only a small fraction of the usual supply of stuff from China has made it out this year.
the short supply, rising plastic prices, and increasing shipping costs due to high fuel prices, have brought the prices on most Chinese-made airsoft guns close to, and sometimes over, $200. at those prices, plastic-bodied guns are hardly a bargain anymore, when for maybe $50 more, you're into all the brand-name, metal-bodied guns from Taiwan that come with warranties.
Echo 1 (whose guns are made by JG) has about 40 different guns in their product lineup. this year, roughly 90% have been out of stock at any given time. the situation hasn't been much better with most of the other Chinese brands. the Olympics are over now and things will probably return to their sloppy, corrupt normality soon, so supply may start to increase in the near future.
