My girl wants a solid sniper rifle and pair of sidearms. Tell me if my choice in guns are good here..
Tokyo Marui VSR G-Spec
WE 5.1 Hi-Cap 5.1 R
WE Silver Dragon
And while I'm here, anyone have a recommendation for an MP5 as well?

Well, in my humble opinion, I'd say if she's actually going to go the sniper route cool on the TM VSR. It's a trademark of many snipers, and not as pricey as a lot of other sniper rifles.
I'm not sure on what the dualie We pistols are about, I understand a sniper needs a weapon of choice in case SHTF, but a lot of times a airsoft sniper will pick a piece that can deliver a good volley of bb's down range, in a hurry, to be able to GTFO from where there at. If a sniper has to go to a side arm, it usually means something is pretty wrong and there sniping spot has been found and they need to boogie.
I would keep the 5.1, and then think about one of the smaller Mp5's out there, like an mp5k or something with a sliding stock. They are small, light, and with high caps, can carry a large amount of ammo with out a lot of extra gear.
I know G+G makes a good entry level mp5, not exactly what I prescribed above, but still a completely manageable size.
Unless you think chicks with dual pistols are sexy (hey who doesn't), I wouldn't recommend her running two at the same time. The Wei Techs are heavy guns, and trying to figure out a way of carrying both can be a pain. An Mp5 can be attached to your body via a one point sling and be tossed onto your shoulder when in the prone position, and as I said, three hi caps will allow her to put her VSR away, switch to the mp5 and drop a ton of bb's down range to put peoples heads down, and get the heck out of the situation she may find herself in, such as a team of guys that have put sometime in hunting snipers. Yeah, there's always the off chance you'll find yourself someone that likes to consider themselves a "counter" sniper! There's even methods and means to hunt snipers all day and make their lives miserable!
Hope I've helped!

Thanks a bunch for your insight on this matter. It's nice to come to a forum where everyone's so helpful and not just brand bashing.
Anywho, I had the same concern since she has tiny arms and likely wouldn't be able to tote two WE's at the same time. You're right--WE's aren't exactly the lightest things in the world. While they're not a problem for me when I just feel like running around like a jackass rushing people in CQ, a player like her who wants to become a solid sniper doesn't really need two handguns. I'm trying to convince her how tactically sound it is to have a smaller automatic such as an MP5 that will get people back in cover so she can run, but I can't seem to tear her from her pistols. She just finds them too sexy to give up I guess. Lol.
I guess it's time to start looking for a nice MP5. Thanks for the help, friend!
(And yes, guns make sexy chicks even more sexy. ROFL)

I agree. I've ran a total loadout of 4 pistols, along with my AEG, and an MP5 SD6 on the back of my plate carrier. Talk about loaded down.
I'm the king of over packing. My next load out is going to be a KWA M-4 Sir,(yes todd, get one ready!) with 20 mid cap mags, a TM Sig 226, and a TM Socom MK23. It's mainly a SEaLs inspired loadout, if you wanted to get into the Geeky end of it, my loadout is that of a former Navy SEaL turned PMC in a time of total war.
My wife wanted to run as a sniper for a bit, so we became good friends with TDS, whom is now my housemate. He's also one of the best snipers in Western New York....if not the state. He has taught me much about sniping.....

Wow, that's a hell of a loadout. Must weigh a ton.
I was looking at a cheaper MP5k made by Galaxy, it's supposed to be a copy of the TM version of the MP5k with the V3 gearbox and everything. The only cons to it seem to be that it's simply an entry-level AEG and the material could be a bit better, but it's not like she'll be treating this thing like crap. That, and as much as I love her, I don't feel like spending another $600 on her loadout. It's a solid 340 FPS and the review looks good. Thoughts?

I've really seen nothing but good things about the Galaxy line of MP's. I'd say go for it. It's not like it's going to be around.
When you first get into AS, there's a good amount of gun ADD that you go through. I know, I've been there. I've only had two guns, out of the multitudes that I've run with, that I wish nothing had happened to, my custom M4a1 carbine and my ICS Anniversary edition.
Well....there's been a lot of pistols I've regretted getting rid of....but primaries meh, only two!
