Just released and on the way to The War Store: the new VFC SCAR Light DX in Flat Dark Earth body color. Each gun comes with a hard-shell foam-lined case and both standard and CQC barrels. $450.
While there have been some SCAR releases before, the fresh VFC release brings something new into the field. The VFC model is based on the 3rd generation SCAR-L, and features the following points:
- Ambidextrous Safety / Selector
- 6 Position Folding Stock with 3 Position Cheek Piece
- Stainless Steel Gas Block
- FN Style 300 Rds Magazine
- Functional Bolt Catch
- CNC Machined Aluminum Folding Front Sight
- CNC Machined Steel Flash Hider / Folding Rear Sight
- Battery carried inside stock with Hidden Wiring
- Includes STD (14") and CQC (10") Outer Barrels
- Realistic Field Stripping
- 6.05mm tightbore barrel
The SCAR is offered in two colors and both in three
version of the AEG - standard, CQC, and a sniper version SV.
The standard version will feature a 14.5-inch barrel, the CQC will feature the 10.5-inch barrel. VFC SCAR DX package
will come with both the standard and CQC barrels. The SV version will feature an 18-inch barrel. The barrels are
interchangeable between the three versions.All three versions are available in either black or flat dark earth colors.
All three versions will feature a CNC aluminum folding front sight, CNC steel rear sight, a steel flash hider, and stainless
steel gas block. The upper receiver is made of CNC aluminum, with the thingying lever interchangeable from left to right
for left or right-handed users. The thingying lever moves a dummy bolt carrier made of CNC aluminum. The selector
switch is also ambidextrious, as well as the magazine catch. The stock is a six-position telescoping/folding stock with a
three-position cheek rest. VFC's SCAR comes with full trades on the receiver and on the barrels. That's not the best part,
unike other SCARs, VFC's versions features a patented contact-type circuit which does not show the electrical wires
when the stock is folded.
