Hey I'm a beginner and was wondering how much it would cost me to get a decent gun and what type i should go for. I am looking for an all-around gun but am a little short on money. But there's always the possibility to work for some. Even a beginner sniper would work for me, I hope to become a sniper but I woul need a little experince first before i go buy a good gun Let me know what your guys' oppinions are on this situation Thanks

First, you dont want a sniper rifle as your first gun, its a bad choice.
If you can't cut the mustard, you are stuck with a sniper rifle with virtually no resale value /and/ have to buy another rifle to play like a normal person.
Second, stop by the store some time and hold a bunch of guns, barrel length and such are all irrelevent, you want the gun you like the feel of and are most comfortable with.
Third, come out to a game of some sort (maybe do a rental) and check out a bunch of other guns, most people are fine with someone else holding theirs for a minute or two to check it out, you might be attracted to something that the store doesn't generally stock like a tommygun or something similiar, you never know.

A great gun to start with thats worth the money is the classic army sportline M-15 carbine. it performs well for the money and its very durable and well made.

I'ts a good idea but a bit risky move by you guys, the person renting would have to sign some sort of waiver that are to your guys' specifications. Well hope you guys do because that would be pretty cool and fun. And tds if you don't mind me asking where could i rent (for the time being)?

Just when there is a scrim forming, post up asking if anyone has a gun to rent, usually "someone" could use a few extra bucks, you have to supply your own bb's safety equipment and you generally run with the person whos gun you are "renting" for the day so they make sure you don't do anything stupid with it.
Its hard to turn a profit with a rental since it has to take ALOT of abuse since people generally dont respect property they do not own and still last a half dozen or more games with no repairs to break even.
In general you are probably going to want a M4, AK, or G36 series rifle as your starter gun since they are really customizable and mags are common, nothing sucks more than running out of ammo and having a gun noone around runs with!
